3D bioprinting, alginate microparticles, dermal gel microvascular self-assembly, controlled growth-factor delivery



Academic Background:

Justin completed his A.S. with a triple major in Physics, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences at Irvine Valley College followed by his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. Justin trained and conducted research in the Robotics & Mechanisms Lab under Professor Hong and the Optofluidics Systems Lab under Professor Chiou, building microfluidic tools for single-cell experiments and utilizing various additive manufacturing techniques to design and produce research hardware. In addition to pursuing his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science and a Graduate Certificate in Physical & Engineering Biology at Yale University, Justin serves as the Teaching Fellow for Yale’s senior mechanical engineering capstone design course.
